The Deeper Dimensions of Wall Squatting
While a seemingly simple - almost mechanical - exercise, the sustained and sensitive exploration of wall squatting will begin to manifest a power out of all proportion to its perceived simplicity; the deepening practice of this ancient temple-secret will bring the student through levels of chi development which might otherwise have long remained inaccessible.
Due to its ability to consolidate both the physical form and the forces within that form into a powerfully unified totality, wall squatting places a major impetus upon the heaven and earth energy gates - particularly the crown and the soles of the feet. This practice produces a highly concentrated stimulation upon and delivers a potent cyclic charge to the chi receptor sites at the base and summit of the spinal column, the soles of the feet, and ultimately, the whole body. When done correctly the practice of wall squatting also opens and clears the ascending energy channels throughout the complete length of the spinal column, as well as the descending channels along the front of the body, culminating in a heightening of chi flow throughout the microcosmic orbit, as well as a concentration and condensation of chi within the lower Vital Center.
