Innate special abilities in mankind

All experiments related to special abilities have shown that it is only when the subject has concentrated upon and devoted her full attention toward an object that special abilities were capable of being demonstrated. Whether or not an experiment was successful depended greatly upon the psychospiritual state of the demonstrator, the respective experimental environment in question, and whether the individuals involved were comfortable and in agreement or not. As can be inferred from this, the particular point regarding special abilities is that their performance greatly depends upon the vital role played by the mind of the subject.

These special abilities are not unique discoveries that only specially endowed persons possess; they also exist in ordinary people. Experiments have shown that special abilities can be induced and actualized through training. As reported at Beijing University, forty ten-year-old children were randomly selected to undergo a short-term training together with special children, and were trained to distinguish figures without the aid of the eyes; 60% of them acquired the ability to read by non-visual means to varying degrees. Experiments at Beijing Teachers' College have also proved that the ability of telekinesis can be tapped through training.

It needs to be pointed out that this psychic ability also exists in ordinary untrained people. At the College of Engineering and Applied Science, Princeton University, the United States, a series of experiments were carried out observing the super sensory abilities of ordinary people.

Such experiments have proved that these randomly selected volunteers could psychically raise the temperature of a thermal resistor to from three to four one-thousandths of a degree, and move the mirror of an interferometer to a distance of one ten-thousandth of a millimeter.

From this it can be inferred that so called special abilities are actually parts of mankind's innate intelligence potential. The fundamental difference between these abilities and other "normal" human abilities underlies the fact that man's consciousness directly acts upon external things without the aid of the physical organs. However, this intelligence usually remains in a dormant or latent state.
